Rebecca initially became interested in finances by following in her Father’s footsteps, who was a successful Financial Advisor himself. She completed her post graduate in accounting and went on to get her start with BNZ as a personal banker. Now as director of SLA she works with her clients to meet their compliance goals and help develop their businesses as a Virtual CFO.
Rebecca is very active with charity groups. She is particularly involved with Rotary Albany, organising and running community fundraiser events. When she isn’t busy trying to save the world she is spending time with Eric, or settling down with a good book. Rebecca isn’t much of cook but she is an excellent baker. If you’re particularly lucky you may come in on a day she’s brought in homemade biscuits.
Cathy joined the SLA team in mid-2016 and she brings 10 years prior accounting experience with her. She has a Diploma in Small Business Management which means she understands your small business’s needs inside and out. Cathy is Xero Certified to keep your books in top shape.
Cathy loves spending time with her friends and family, particularly her young grandchildren. She would describe herself as outgoing and optimistic, and we know her to be conscientious and compassionate. Cathy is an active member of a quiz team, and spends her weekends in the summer camping. When no one’s watching she even dances in her office.
Caryn is the newest member of the SLA team, bringing an extensive range of knowledge to the company! She has worked within the Finance Team at SkyTV over in the UK, and has also managed her own bookkeeping business in South Africa. Having owned her own business in the past, Caryn uses this experience towards her tasks within SLA.
Caryn is a loyal, creative and fun loving person who loves spending her summers camping by the beach. Her outside of work hobby that she also happens to be very good at is photography! Caryn is also involved in charity work, she is the Branch Coordinator for Bellyful Hibiscus Coast.
Liz has got over 15 years finance experience and administration across various industries. She specialises in payroll and financial reporting services. She brings a wealth of knowledge to the SLA team across various different finance and admin tasks.
When Liz isn’t working, she also loves to travel and explore new places, and enjoys camping as well. At the top of her bucket list is to visit the Greek Islands and also the Netherlands. Liz would describe herself as an adventurous and energetic person, and an excellent mum and wife. When she was little she wanted to become an astronaut!
Eric is a 8 year old yellow lab, who’s retired from a career with the Guide Dog Breeding Stock. Although Eric has no accounting skills he is still an important member of the SLA team. He has been with SLA since August of 2015, where he has taken his role as official greeter very seriously. When Eric is not dreaming about chasing cats, he enjoys showing off his toys to our clients. Eric is friendly and very well behaved, all of our visitors are welcome to give him a scratch behind the ear.
